Backflow Testing for Davie Businesses
Several water utilities serve Davie, and the backflow rules for a building depend on which one serves it. Town of Davie Utilities lists commercial, industrial, and institutional properties among those that need a backflow preventer. The Town requires a yearly test by a certified tester who is registered with BSI, the company that runs the program for the Town. If a test is missed, the Town can stop water service.
We have two certified backflow testers, registered with BSI for the Town of Davie and Broward County. After each test, we submit your test results to the water utility for you. Backflow preventers on fire sprinkler lines are a different case. The Town requires a licensed fire sprinkler contractor or a fire inspection company to test them.
