A smell like rotten eggs or a hissing sound near a gas line or appliance can be a sign of a gas leak. If you smell gas, leave the building right away and call 911 from outside.
Do not turn lights or appliances on or off, use a phone, or light a match while still inside the building. You can also call the gas utility that serves the property. Once emergency crews or the gas utility say it is safe to go back in, call (954) 748-9271 about the gas line, since we answer the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our gas line work is for natural gas only. If a home or business uses propane, we are not able to work on its tank, its propane lines, or the appliances that run on it.
Natural gas is only available where a gas main reaches the property, and two buildings on the same street can differ. The gas utility that serves the area can confirm whether service is available at a given address.
We start by looking at where the new line needs to go and which appliances it will serve. Buildings in this area are usually built on a concrete slab with concrete block walls, so a new line may run through the attic, through a block wall, or along the outside of the building.
The route, the length of the line, and the number of appliances on it all affect the price. We explain the plan, and you get a written price before any work starts. Estimates are free, we pull permits where required, and our work comes with a 1-year warranty on parts and a 1-year warranty on labor.
From our office in Davie, we serve homes and businesses in all of Broward and Miami-Dade counties, including these towns.

No.
R&J Plumbing and Backflow works with natural gas only.
We do not install propane lines, set propane tanks, or connect appliances that run on propane.
For a natural gas line to a stove, water heater, or other gas appliance, call (954) 748-9271.
It depends on whether natural gas service is available at the property.
A gas main has to reach the property, and the gas utility that serves the area decides whether it can provide service.
If natural gas is available, we can look at running a new line to the appliances that the home will use.
We do.
We pull permits where required, and whether a gas line job needs one depends on the work and where the property is.
Before the work starts, we explain whether the job needs a permit as part of the plan for the new line.
Call (954) 748-9271 or send a request through this page. Estimates are free, and we give you a written price before any work starts. The price depends on things like how long the line is, the route it takes through the building, and how many appliances it will serve.
